RAINFALL

The Garden Route enjoys a maritime climate, lots of sun with rain interspersed throughout the year as the graph on the left shows.

TEMPERATURE

The Garden Route in general and Wilderness in particular, has one of the most moderate climates in the world. Temperatures hardly ever drop below 10 C or rise above 30 C. Due to VIEWS proximity to the ocean it is generally even more moderate than George; warmer in winter, and cooler in summer

WIND

The Garden Route is by far the least windy coastal area in South Africa. The graphs on the left show the wind speed distribution for George, Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. This clearly indicates that the predominant winds speed in George will be in the 0 to 12 km/hour range making for refreshing summer breezes

SUNSHINE

The Garden Route enjoys the most sunny days of all any coastal area in South Africa. The graphs show monthly potential sunshine percentages, clearly showing good results for George.
